2nd Training School in Munich

The Technical University of Munich hosted NEXTgenT's 2nd training school from the 17th till the 20th of February 2026.

On the first day, the doctoral candidates showcased their research in a poster session, receiving feedback and questions from both peers and professors. This interaction provided an opportunity to discuss their projects in depth and to reflect on various aspects of their ongoing development and the next stages of their research.
The next three days consisted of lectures and a lab visit, to help the candidates understand different aspects of their future projects and possible obstacles. These lectures consisted of knowledge on:
💡Unsteady BEMT (Blade Element Momentum Theory) - by Martin otto laver Hansen
💡Wind turbine Aeroelasticity - by Carlo L Botasso
💡Seminar on research publications - by Carlo L Botasso
💡Structural response of MDOF systems due to transient loads - by Cristian Gebhardt
👀 The candidates also had a visit to the WEI wind turbine lab and WEI wind tunnel.
